This week in our Tech Careers segment we welcome Mike Fernandez, who is an IT System Engineer for the Austrian Environmental Agency. With more than 10 years of experience in IT Operations, he now specializes in cloud technologies, configuration management, and automation. With the Tech Industry having one of the most competitive job markets today, Mike shares how he sets himself apart and what it took to get there. We also discuss the similarities and differences of tech in different parts of the world as Mike reflects on his experiences with technology in both the U.S. and Austria.Later, we are joined by global technology leader, investor, and advocate for advancement of women in the workplace, Harini Gokul. Harini was raised in India and came to America to further her education, receiving her MBA from Vanderbilt University. Join us as Harini shares her thoughts on being a woman in technology and her positive outlook on the progress within the industry surrounding diversity and inclusion. She shares the lessons she’s learned throughout her career and the four areas she believes are essential for success.

Lexy is a data scientist, and community practice lead for advanced analytics at CCG Analytics in Tampa, FL. She also is host of her own data science ethics podcast. Later, we are joined by Camryn Baum, a high-school student and co-founder of "Tech Tuesdays". Tech Tuesdays provides resources to children and families who lack technology resources. They provide tools to assist students with being able to complete their homework. She discuss her charity, how it came to be, it's vision, and how you can help.

Joining us this week in our Women in Tech Segment, is Heather Doran. Heather, a Las Vegas native, started her career in the Casino Industry, managing casino events and slot marketing for MGM Resorts. Life’s circumstances called for a career change during a relocation, and she soon discovered a career in Technology was a passion that she no longer had to doubt. She transitioned into the Microsoft space working in partner marketing, inside sales, and business applications. Her roles in Microsoft have included community strategy, experience marketing, branding, partner engagement and compete strategy. Currently, Heather is the Global Lead for experience marketing and compete strategy for the cloud marketing business application team. She discusses in detail how she once doubted her ability to be successful in the tech industry, but through networking and determination, Heather catapulted herself into an industry that she never thought was possible.
